Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter are great seasons to recreate on the Grand Mesa Byway. Easy access, even in the winter, make the Byway an ideal drive for year 'round touring. Once used by the Utes as a summer hunting ground this area is lush with mountain meadows filled with wildflowers and abundant wildlife. Today the draw of un-crowded lakes and trails brings people to the top of Grand Mesa. Camping, hiking, mtn. biking, horseback riding, skiing, snowmobile touring, fishing, hunting and many other outdoor activities lure people up the Grand Mesa. Visit Pioneer Town Museum while in Cedaredge. This reconstructed pioneer community displays many artifacts and buildings that once made up what is now Cedaredge. Lodging, restaurants and other amenities can be found along the Byway. Call today for your guide or pick one up when you get here. The Cedaredge Welcome Center, the Grand Mesa Visitor Center and most businesses will have one.
